Selected Research and Publications
- Professor Blomberg is the Peter Barker Professor at Claremont McKenna College with appointments in the economics department and the politics, philosophy, and economics program. He has taught courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, econometrics, statistics and political economy.
With research interests grounded in macroeconomics, international economics, political economy and are focused on terrorism, he has written extensively on the economics of terrorism in journals, books, and newspapers. Over the past 14 years, he has published over 30 articles and book chapters in such top economics journals as the American Economic Review, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Public Economics and the Review of Economics and Statistics. Dr. Blomberg has held appointments on the President's Council of Economic Advisors, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, Harvard University and Wellesley College. He also served in the United States Military for eight years and been the United States representative to the Economic Committee for Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
