Ethics

The College’s concern in the area of public affairs involves considering what ought to be as well as what is. Consequently, it offers an interdisciplinary sequence of courses focusing on ethical theory and its application both to the conduct of individuals and to the formulation of public policy.

The Ethics Sequence is designed to accompany majors in other fields, and its purpose is to assist students in thinking critically and constructively for themselves on issues of individual conduct and public policy. Completion of the sequence will be noted on students’ transcripts. Professor Bessette is the academic advisor for this program.
