International Admission Requirements – Freshmen


All applicants


Common Application, including:

  • CMC Supplement
  • School Report (submitted by a school official)
  • Evaluation from a Counselor or School Official
  • High School Transcripts
  • School Profile
  • Two Teacher Evaluations
  • Application Fee of $60
  • SAT or ACT scores
  • Mid-Year Report (submitted by a school official after the first term of your senior year)

Application Deadlines

  • Early Decision I - November 15
  • Merit Scholarship - December 1
  • Early Decision II - January 2
  • Regular Decision - January 2


If you attend a high school outside of the United States


  • National exam results (e.g., GCSE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels, International Baccalaureate, Abitur, etc.)
  • Certified English translation of school records (if necessary)

If your first language is not English


TOEFL or IELTS or Waiver

  • Minimum TOEFL: 100
  • Minimum IELTS: 7.0
  • A waiver is automatically granted for students whose primary language of instruction throughout high school was English

If you would like to be considered for merit-based scholarships


  • Only available for freshman applicants
  • Submit your Common Application & CMC Supplement by December 1
  • Check the box on the Common Application indicating that you are applying for merit scholarships
  • If you would like to be considered for the Interdisciplinary Science Scholarship, complete the required need-base financial aid forms (see below)

  • Evaluation from a Counselor or College Official
  • College Transcripts
  • Two College Instructor Evaluations
  • High School Transcripts
  • Application Fee of $60
  • Mid-Term Report
  • SAT or ACT scores (only if you took the SAT or ACT during high school)

Application Deadline

  • April 1

If you attended a high school outside of the United States


  • National exam results (e.g., GCSE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels, International Baccalaureate, Abitur, etc.)

If your first language is not English
