How And When To Apply For Financial Aid:

The College Scholarship Service (CSS) Financial Aid PROFILE application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are both required to be completed by all entering students in order to apply for financial aid.

Begin collecting financial aid information from your high school counselors or CMC's Financial Aid Office.

You can register starting September 15 for the CSS PROFILE in order to receive your 2006-2007 customized PROFILE financial aid application packet. You can register with the College Board Online at www.collegeboard.org.

December

You should obtain a FAFSA from your high school or CMC. You may also complete this form online at FAFSA on the Web www.fafsa.ed.gov.

January

Your customized PROFILE financial aid application packet must be completed and submitted to CSS by February 1. You need to complete and transmit or mail the FAFSA to the federal processor by February 1.

February

You must submit signed copies of your parent(s) and your 2005 U.S. income tax return(s) to the College Board's document imaging service (IDOC) to begin the evaluation of your financial aid eligibility. You can visit the IDOC website at http://idoc.collegeboard.com for more information.

You may submit copies of your 2004 tax documents directly to the Financial Aid Office if 2005 are not available. However, you must still submit copies of your and your parent(s) 2005 income tax return to IDOC as soon as possible or no later than March 1 to complete the evaluation of your final award.

Transfer applicants must submit their completed PROFILE financial aid application to CSS and their FAFSA to the federal processor by March 1.

May

Reply date for admitted Freshmen is May 1.

June

Reply date for admitted Transfers is June 1.
