Deadline for Application: December 1
Overview
The McKenna Achievement Award is a renewable $10,000 scholarship given to approximately 20 entering freshmen every year. Students who wish to be considered must indicate their interest on page one of The Common Application. Please check the merit scholarships box located on The Common Application itself. All application and supporting credentials must be postmarked by December 1.
Candidates who are selected as finalists will be notified by the Office of Admission in February, at which point they will be contacted by the Office of Admission about the next steps in the merit scholarship process. Finalists will learn whether they have been awarded the McKenna Achievement Award at the same time they receive their admission notification letter. Students applying for Early Decision may also apply for the McKenna Achievement Award. Early Decision applicants will learn whether they are finalists for the award in February, and finalists who are selected as McKenna Achievement Award recipients will be notified by April 1.
