Ms. Wendy J. Perben
Wendy Perben, the Marketing Manager for Haagen-Dazs Europe, joined General Mills, Inc., in January 2003. She is currently based in Nyon, Switzerland, and is responsible for overseeing all new product and advertising development for the Haagen-Dazs brand across Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining GMI, Wendy worked as a Strategic Planner for The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, CA, and then as a Senior Financial Analyst for Disney Interactive (Disney’s children’s software division) based in Tokyo, Japan. She subsequently joined American Express as a Finance Manager for Reengineering, working first in Hong Kong and then in Sydney, Australia. After 5 years in Asia, Wendy returned to the States to pursue an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she focused on Marketing and International Business. Upon graduating in 2002 and before joining GMI, Wendy volunteered in Kenya, writing grant proposals for Serve International (an NGO providing services for the local community) and then traveled to Cologne, Germany, to study intensive German. Wendy has a BA from Claremont McKenna College, where she studied International Relations and Japanese. She enjoys travel, snow boarding, scuba diving, sailing, health & fitness, and yoga.
