Ms. Nicole Smith

Tripepi, Smith and Associates, Inc.

SmithNicole Smith is the co-owner of Tripepi, Smith and Associates, an accounting and technology consulting services firm for small companies throughout Southern California. She is also the mother and primary caregiver of her 5 ½ year old daughter. As one who opted out of the workforce early in her career, she is excited to join the Berger Institute advisory board this year and support their research on work-family issues.

Nicole graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1996 with a degree in Economics-Accounting and went to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Business Assurance practice, where she specialized in Real Estate and Financial Services clients. In 2000, she left public accounting to work as the Corporate Assistant Controller for Capital Pacific Holdings, a homebuilder located in Newport Beach, CA. She left there in 2001 and started a consulting firm with her husband, Ryder Smith. In 2004, their daughter Reagan was born, and Nicole decided to give up her consulting work to be a stay-at-home mom. In 2002, she began taking on very small clients again, all the while trying to balance her parental and primary caretaking responsibilities. In addition to being a mother, wife and part-time consultant, she has volunteered at Mary’s Shelter, a home for pregnant teenage girls, at her daughter’s school, and for the Irvine MOMS Club. Nicole enjoys exercising, reading, cooking and family game nights.
