2011-2012 Residence Hall Openings and Closings

New Student Move-In:

Optional Early Move-In for New Students:  Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 1-8:00 pm
Opening Day/Orientation:  Thursday, August 25, 2011, Check-in 9-11:00 am
 

Residence Halls Open for Returning Students:

Sunday, August 28, 2011:  Check in with Story House between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.*

* If arriving after 3:00 pm please check in with your Resident Assistant.  Story House will re-open on Monday, August 29 for you to pick up your keys and activate your ID card.
 

Fall Break:

Residence halls and apartments remain open.
Monday October 17 & Tuesday, October 18, 2011
 

Thanksgiving Break:

Residence halls and apartments remain open.
Thursday, November 24 through Sunday, November 27, 2011
 

Winter Break:

Residence halls are closed.  The CMC student apartments remain open.
Residence halls close:   Friday, December 16, 2011 at 8:00 pm
Residence halls re-open:   Sunday, January 15, 2012. Check in with Story House between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.*

* If arriving after 3:00 pm please check in with your Resident Assistant.  You may also pick up your keys and activate your ID card at Story House on Monday, January 16, 2011 (Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. 
 

Spring Break:

Residence halls and apartments remain open.
Spring Break begins after your last class on Friday, March 9, 2012.  Classes resume on Monday, March 19, 2012.  The residence halls and CMC apartments remain open during break.  All guests must have a guest pass (available from your Resident Assistant). 
 

Summer Break:

Begins on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Noon.  The residence halls and apartments close and all students, including seniors, must be out of their room by this time.
