Catalina Island
and
Montaña De Oro
Beach Camping

Level: Casual
Experience: None

Beach camping in either Catalina or Montaña de Oro is fun and relaxing trip. Catalina Island is approximately 26 miles off the coast of Los Angeles. Students take an express ferry to the island, and partake in numerous outdoor activities such as; hiking, snorkeling, kayaking and swimming.

Montaña de Oro is located just north of San Luis Obispo and is a great way to experience the central coast. Unique to this trip are the remote bluffs, sand dunes, and the waters of Morro Bay. Additionally, faculty and student advisors provide resources for students interested in leadership at CMC. Both trips provide a laid back atmosphere.
