Colorado River Canoeing

If you have an inclination for some semi-strenuous water adventure I recommend this trip. Students will canoe 10-15 miles down-river each day, paddling from Needles, CA to Lake Havasu City, AZ. You will pass through the Topock Gorge, eat lunch on the side of the river with hieroglyphics in the background, swim in the river, and play ultimate Frisbee on the sandbar. It will be hot but you can jump out of your canoe at any time. No previous canoeing experience is necessary but students MUST be capable swimmers.
