Welcome to Information Technology Services

The department of Information Technology Services (ITS) supports and facilitates the advancement of enhanced learning to all students, faculty and staff using innovative technology in a supportive framework within the mission of Claremont McKenna College. Information Technology Services (ITS) will pursue its mission by creating a customer-centered focus, obtaining the most valuable, usable, and cost-effective technological resources, and maintaining a forward looking and ruthlessly competitive strategy.

Divisions of ITS

Information Systems and Network Services (ISNS)

  • Develop and maintain plans for the use of enterprise data systems.
  • Provide users with technical support of the College's enterprise data systems.
  • Assist the College and specific units with planning for and implementing new web-based technologies.
  • Provide secure information systems.
  • Provide and maintain a secure, stable, reliable data network environment for the College.
  • Responsible for administration and management of servers and campus network.
  • Responsible for overall security.
  • Responsible for disaster recovery.

Instructional Technology and Client Services (ITCS)

  • Provide troubleshooting support for hardware and software problems on the desktop.
  • Provide Help Desk services in a timely, quality response to resolve user technology issues and problems.
  • Manage the College's desktop computer/printer life cycle replacement program.
  • Assist the faculty in developing and enhancing their use of instructional technologies.
  • Provide support for the use of multimedia within classroom instruction.
  • Provide support for the development of instructional materials, including video streaming, digital imaging, etc.
  • Support and maintain the instructional computing labs.
