You’ve just completed the Fletcher Jones Data Analysis Tutorial. We hope it has given you a fundamental understanding of how to get started using Excel 2003 for data analysis. Excel can be a powerful tool for managing and analyzing data, but in addition to Excel, CMC students use a few other data analysis software packages. Many of you will use these programs not only for coursework, but also for research and for work at some of the institutes at CMC.

CMC students commonly use STATA for microeconomic data analysis, EViews for macroeconomic analysis and SPSS for data analysis in psychology courses.  For more information on these programs, see their respective websites:
