About the Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies
Dear Visitor,
Thank you for your interest in the Keck Center. The Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies has a unique role at Claremont McKenna College. Like research institutes at large universities, the Keck Center aggressively conducts research into the dynamics of international relations. The Keck Center has sponsored numerous conferences and supported the development of new course curriculum. We have published a series of papers that discuss events ranging from the role of the United Nations to the causes of the Korean War.
However, the small school environment allows Keck to be more than a distant body that schedules lectures. The Keck Center is a resource that exists specifically to serve students and their needs. Our well-stocked library contains special publications that can't be found in any of the Claremont libraries. The professors are approachable and genuinely interested in helping students. Students can come to the Keck Center for advice on papers, world issues, or internships and jobs. For students who want to know more about the IR major (what classes to take) or simply want to network and meet other students interested in IR, there is the Claremont International Relations Society (CIRS).
Whether you are an IR major or are simply interested in the world around you, the Keck Center has something to offer you. I invite you to take advantage of the opportunities that the Keck Center can offer.
Sincerely,
Professor Chae-Jin Lee
