KLI Student Support Policy
The Kravis Leadership Institute (KLI) provides monetary support to select CMC student leadership education and development programs throughout the academic year. KLI considers requests on a case-by-case basis where the KLI budget allows. General guidance for making requests is as follows:
- Written requests must be received at least 2 months prior to travel and event participation.
- Student support for travel and/or registration costs is generally limited to $750 per student.
- Participation must occur while a full-time CMC student.
- Support for partisan political events is generally not possible.
- Written requests should including the following information:
- Name and contact information for each student requesting support
- Travel/participation dates
- Event information (host, location, web reference if available…)
- Leadership relevance (why should KLI be interested?)
- Budget outline (estimated expenses and other support requested/received)
- Students agree that within one week of event completion they will provide a 1-2 page paper or article that describes the event and highlights the leadership education/development experience. The article, if relevant, may be used in the KLI newsletter, Illumine, or possibly the in online journal, Leadership Review.
- Priority may be given to students actively participating in the Leadership Sequence. The decisions of the KLI Director and Associate Director are final.
- Requests should be submitted in writing to:
