InternshipsCurrently, 100% of eligible students in the incoming Master's Program in Finance Class of 2011 have received internship offers. Internships are an important part of the Master's Program in Finance experience. RDS's philosophy is that internships allow graduate students to both continue their personal development and make important connections with potential future employers. The Director of External Relations, Michelle Chamberlain, works with students to find the right opportunities for them in a variety of organizations: investment banks, consulting firms, government agencies, and not-for-profits, among others. The Master's Program in Finance students are available for internships during the summer before they start the one-year graduate program. Recently, our graduate students have interned in various corporate finance departments, private equity, hedge funds and asset management firms, including: •Bank of China (Beijing, China); •Compass Equity Partners (Westport, CT); •Cummins, Inc. (Columbus, Indiana); •DRW Trading (New York, NY); •Goldman Sachs (New York, NY); •Gould Asset Management (Claremont, CA); •Jefferies & Co. (New York, NY); •JP Morgan (New York, NY); •Kendall Jackson (Santa Rosa, CA); •Kontera, Inc. (San Francisco, CA); •Merrill Lynch (Newport Beach, CA); •Oakmont Corporation (Los Angeles, CA); and •Trust Company of the West (Los Angeles, CA). |
