The first midterm exam is Tuesday March 1 in class. There will be two take home problems which will be due  under my office
       door by  9:30am on Thursday  March 3.

        An exam could look something  like the following :


         From Binmore:   1.   pg 59 #9,   (also review the questions about NIM etc. from Ferguson)
                                   2.   pg. 63 #23,
                                   3.   pg. 89 # 23
                                   4.   pg . 121  # 11   (Though I didn't say much about risk aversion or its opposite you may still expect to be
                                                                       asked about them)

        From Ferguson:                     

                                    5.  (Game theory)   part II section 2.6,  #5 ( or 6 or ...)

                                     6. (Linear Programming)       Section 1, #1  or section 3, #3


             I may also ask about the game of "Duel" which was included in the homework but not mentioned in lecture.

             The take home questions  will also be similar to ( more involved) problems you have seen from the same sources.
