2nd Annual Claremont Concours To Benefit Children's Foundation

The Claremont Colleges Automotive Enthusiasts Club (CCAEC) will host its second Claremont Concours automobile show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17th. The cars will on display in the North Quad. Highlights include vehicles from the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin, several CMC alumni, and local automotive enthusiasts.

Organized by Jeffrey Simonetti '05 (founder, CCAEC) and Patrick Shim '04, the event will feature several exotic cars, and will have a large presence by local Ferrari owners. Some of the highlights will include the Ferrari Enzo, one of 399 that Ferrari built; a Ferrari F50 from the Marconi Automotive Museum; the Ferrari "FX," originally built for the Royal Family of Brunei; and several modern exotics, such as Ferrari F430s, Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradales, and a Lamborghini Gallardo. Alumni contributing to the show include Eugene Wolver '51 (Porsche 911 Turbo), and Christian Garris '91 (Maserati 3200GT).

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Marconi Foundation Kids, which helps several local charities for underprivileged children. (http://www.marconimuseum.org/).
