Audrey Bilger to Deliver Address
For Lavender Graduation

CMC associate professor of literature Audrey Bilger will deliver the keynote address at the Thursday, May 3 Lavender Graduation ceremony in the Margaret Fowler Garden, Scripps College campus. The 7 p.m. ceremony honors the successes of this year's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender graduates with other LGBT and Allied students, faculty, and staff.
A reception with music and dessert will precede the ceremony at 6:30. Reservations are not required.
Bilger, the author of Laughing Feminism: Subversive Comedy in Frances Burney, Maria Edgeworth, and Jane Austen, is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and received her master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Virginia. Her teaching and research interests include 18th-century humor and satire, early women writers, 18th and 19th century British literature, and women's studies.
