Claremont Blvd. Building to House Development Offices

The completion of a new administrative building on Claremont Boulevard, just east of the main campus and south of the Easton Archery Range, is paving the way for more faculty office space in Bauer North this spring.

Construction of the new two-story building, the Claremont McKenna College Offices of Development and Public Affairs and Communications, began last March on a 1.1 acre lot across the street from The Children's School. The 18,000 square-foot facility will house the College's development and public affairs and communications staffs, creating about 20 vacancies in Bauer North for faculty offices, as well as available space in the College's Mills Avenue offices.

Transition to the new building is scheduled to take place the week of Feb. 7 for CMC's development staff members, and the week of Feb. 14 for the office of public affairs and communications.

Bob Henry, director of facilities and campus services, says the goal is to provide as much space as possible for economics faculty in Bauer, as well as space for the Financial Economics Institute.
