Members of the CMS Stags and Athenas tennis teams will compete against student-athletes from eleven other Division III institutions from the West Region, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at CMS' Marks and Smith Tennis Facility, and Pomona College's Pauley Courts.
Play will continue on Sunday, Sept. 30, and conclude with the semifinals and finals of the main and consolation draws on Monday, Oct 1. Main draw winners of the singles and doubles will advance to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Small College National Championships in Mobile, Ala., Oct. 11-14.
The Stags are defending champs of regionals and nationals in singles, and two-time defending champs in doubles. Athenas Stephanie Hammond '08 and Lisa Steckmest '08 will be defending the regional doubles champs.
