CMC Alumni to Participate in Entrepreneurial Conference

Students of the Claremont Entrepreneurial Society will host Mastering the Entrepreneurial Art, a conference focused on the personal journey of the entrepreneur, from 10:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the Rose Hills Theater at Pomona College. The event is open to students, alumni, faculty, and friends of The Claremont Colleges.

Claremont McKenna College alumni Joel Appel '87, president and CEO of Orange Glo International; Augie Nieto '80, founder of Life Fitness; Jon Kirchner '89, president and CEO of Digital Theater Systems; and Rand Bleimeister '76, CEO of OnAir Entertainment will present on their entrepreneurial experiences. The conference also will feature discussions with the founder and general partner of Altos Ventures, CMC Professor Marc Massoud P'89, and Professor Robert Baron of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

The conference, which includes a catered lunch and is free for alumni and students, is sponsored by the Claremont Entrepreneurial Society, the Drucker Entrepreneurship Club, the Kravis Leadership Institute, and the Robert A. Day 4+1 MBA Program.
