What's Cooking?
The cash prize already has been claimed, but you, too, can please palates with an award-winning original burger recipe from Brigitte Nguyen ’03. This issue’s cover model recently took home a whopping $50,000 for serving up her Chinese Chicken Burgers with Rainbow Sesame Slaw to judges at the National Chicken Cooking Contest in Texas—and we have the recipe that will let you recreate her dish at home. We’ll also provide access to the Vietnamese Bistro Burger that landed her on the Food Network’s Ultimate Recipe Showdown.
Speaking of...
You’ll read in this issue that Professor Emeritus John Roth was invited by California Assemblyman Mike Feuer ’80 to give the keynote address during the California State Assembly’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah) observance on April 27. But there’s even more news: Roth shared a copy of his complete remarks, so you’ll be able to learn from the longtime faculty member even without coming to class.
Degrees of Success
They came, they saw, they moved up. On Saturday, May 16, graduating seniors bid their farewells to CMC during the College’s 62nd annual Commencement ceremonies. We’ve tucked a few of those smiling faces into our summer issue, but there’s more to see online.
