Pick-Pocket
How can you tell a sommelier from the average wine aficionado? In some cases, by the tools of the trade. During our photo shoot for this issue, Chris Bradford '83 emptied his pockets on a nearby counter, revealing several items that a sommelier can't be without when working the floor. Not included, but not to be overlooked: comfortable shoes. (Bradford says he's used to clocking 12-hour days.)
WWII Tour in France and England
Recent travel led by Jil and Jack Stark '57 GP'11 brought an intrepid band of Claremont McKenna College alumni, parents, and friends to many of the historic highlights of England and France, with special focus on WWII sites.

Professor Emeritus Gaines Post Jr. leaves radio and cell phone behind when he takes to the wheel of his 1966 VW Bug to navigate the roads of Wisconsin and back on a journey exploring American history in his new book, Blue Bug, Red Road (iUniverse, Inc., 2008).
