Convocation ceremonies welcoming new and returning students, faculty, and other employees of the College to campus for the fall semester will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4 in McKenna Auditorium.
President Pamela Gann will guide the ceremonies, with featured speaker Janet Smith, the Von Tobel Professor of Economics, discussing Being Entrepreneurial at CMC.
In order that students may attend, classes scheduled at 11 a.m. and noon on Tuesday will be canceled. A campus-wide picnic will follow Convocation.
Students also are welcome to participate in the I Rann with Gann 5-K course that morning, which leads participants around the perimeter of The Claremont Colleges. The run gets underway at 6:45 in front of Ducey Gym.
