I AM CMC Rally

The I AM CMC rally was held Sunday, April 1st on campus at the outdoor basketball courts near Ducey Gymnasium.

Originally planned for Sunday, March 25, the rally was delayed due to inclement weather. After rescheduling the rally for this past Sunday, the party formally kicked off the student body's involvement in the I AM CMC project. The Office of Student Philanthropy sponsored three different food trucks and provided "I AM CMC" t-shirts and tank tops to attendees.

The rally was set to start at 3pm, though there were already students lining up for food trucks by 2:30. When the rally began, there were almost 400 students in attendance. Over the course of the next two hours, 800 students, alumni, parents, and staff visited the rally. Kelly Mulvihill '14 and Ethan Landau '14, who are members of the Office of Student Philanthropy, videotaped testimonials from dozens of students and alumni eager to share their special experiences at Claremont McKenna College.

Since the rally, many students have been seen sporting their I AM CMC gear on campus. McKenzie Javorka '14 was particularly pleased. "Finally, a CMC t-shirt that comes in women's cut! Soft, comfy, and full of school spirit without screaming bro'. I approve."
