Arrow Gets a Bullseye

CMC paves way for new archery range

Montclair isn't the only city to have a new Target: A gift from CMC donors Mary S. Easton and Jim Easton, has enabled the College to construct a regulation archery range at the corner of Claremont Boulevard and Arrow Route, just east of CMC's main campus. Construction of the new range began in May, which included fencing and a concrete walkway, as well as irrigation and a new asphalt driveway. The range meets measurements for official archery competition (30 meters-by-100 meters), and will include a shaded firing line, a drinking fountain, and trees and benches.

A dedication ceremony is targeted for early fall 2002.

The grazing of weeds and brush along Claremont Boulevard makes way for CMC's archery range, scheduled for dedication in mid-October.
