Clean Air Affair

Annual Rideshare picnic

CMC’s annual Rideshare Survey Week is Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18. Completed Rideshare surveys may be exchanged for a lunch ticket at the College’s Clean Air Affair and Rideshare picnic on Thursday, April 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on the north lawn of the Honnold/Mudd Library Complex, at Dartmouth Avenue and 10th Street. Ticket holders will receive a sandwich from Quizno’s (turkey, ham, or vegetarian), chips, a cookie, and a beverage.

Rideshare participants will be eligible to win a “commuter cruise” bicycle, or cash prizes of $50 and $25. Non-Rideshare participants will be eligible to win cash prizes of $25, or one of five $5 gift certificates to Huntley Bookstore.

Completed surveys are used to calculate the College’s A.V.R. (average vehicle ridership). CMC is required to maintain an A.V.R. of 1.5 or better, a goal the College has met or exceeded the past few years, says Rideshare coordinator Jill Nicholas.

In the event of rain, the Rideshare picnic will be held at Smith Center, Edmunds Balroom, on the Pomona College campus.

Those unable to attend the picnic may turn completed surveys in to the human resources department by Monday, April 28 for a complimentary ticket to the Los Angeles County Fair (distributed in mid-August).
