Nearly 100 students, faculty, and staff members from CMC and neighboring campuses turned up for ROTC's annual Turkey Shoot in November, an event offering both seasoned and amateur gun shooters the chance to take aim at turkey-shaped paper targets for prizes in the Bauer South ROTC shooting range.
Following the three-hour event, top billing went to Harvey Mudd student Paul Brooks, who scored 83 out of a possible 100 points. Second place was a tie between assistant professor of economics Jennifer Ward-Batts and CUC physical plant employee Sante Morrone, who both scored 82 points on their targets. Fourth prize went to CMC Web engineer Todd Goulding, followed closely by Jim Holloway, senior systems manager in the College's Information Systems & Technology department.
Prizes for top shooters were two turkeys (weighing in at 19 and 15 pounds, each), and coupons to The Elephant Bar & Restaurant, Olive Garden, and Quick Lube.
