Nike Sports Camps to be
Hosted at CMC in June

Claremont McKenna College is once again hosting Nike youth sports camps during the last two weeks of June. Soccer and volleyball have been added for the first time as camp options, which also include tennis and swimming. Soccer and tennis begin the weekend of June 15, with swimming, volleyball, and tennis continuing the following week through June 30.
Online registration for each sport may be completed by following the links below.
The camps, celebrating a fourth year at CMC, attract more than 100 kids, ages 8-18, both from the local area as well as out of state, and with varying degrees of skill. Men's tennis coach Paul Settles says the camps welcome beginners who have a passion for a sport as well as advanced players looking to prepare for an upcoming season, or improve their skills for competitive opportunities.
"Nike sports camps have become a part of the summer culture here at Claremont McKenna," Settles says. "Adding soccer and volleyball this year made sense given the strength of our programs, the great coaching, and the interest from campers." Soccer Keri Sanchez, head women's soccer coach, will lead the Nike Junior Soccer Camp, scheduled Sunday, June 17 through Thursday, June 21, for boys and girls ages 1018, and all abilities. This camp session is available for both extended-day (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) participants as well as resident campers. Resident campers stay in the North Quad dormitories and eat all meals on campus.
