Noted Russian Scholar, Sergei Chugrov, To Discuss Political And Cultural Change; April 11th Lecture at Claremont McKenna College

WHO:

Dr. Sergei Chugrov, a leading scholar in the Russian Academy of Sciences and a Senior Researcher at the prestigious Russian political science institute, the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, will visit Claremont McKenna College to discuss "Russian Political Culture: Changes and Continuity."

He will examine how Russia's current process of Westernization has been reconciled with other Slavic traditions in the country's transition to a new post-Communist world order. Dr. Chugrov is deputy editor-in-chief of The World Economy and International Relations Journal, and is the author of multiple articles and books on Russian politics, Russian foreign policy, and US-Russia relations.

His visit is sponsored by the Keck Center for International and Strategic Studies.
