Online Registration Now Open For Alumni Weekend 2011

What to do firsthead for cardio? Toast old friends over a champagne breakfast? A round of golf? Wine-tasting? Watch a cooking demo? Slosh around the pool and cheer a game of inner-tube water polo? How about tea and conversation with novelist Jamaica Kincaid? Or election talk with CMC’s in-house political experts Jack Pitney and Andrew Busch? Archery lessons, anyone? How about a real-estate symposium? Or, slipping into something seriously dressywe’re talking James-Bond-esquefor a four-college Monte Carlo party?

Well, no need to choose now, but do get to thinking, as there are just weeks now standing between you, your former CMC classmates, and Alumni Weekend 2011of which all of these things appear on the menu. Scheduled April 29-May 1, this year’s incredible festivities honor graduating classes ending in “1” and “6.” But do you have to be a member of one of those classes to attend? Oh gosh, no.

Online registration for Alumni Weekend is now up and running, so signing up is a snap. There you’ll also bump into a complete schedule of events (updated regularly), a list of local accommodations, information on child and infant daycare, and of coursewhat every curious grad wants to seea current list of who, besides you, is signed up to go. Keeping things interesting is the added fact that CMC’s own Alumni Weekend is the same as Pomona’s, Scripps’, and Harvey Mudd’s. And yes, some of the planned activities will overlap on purpose, so that you may mingle with old friends from adjoining campuses.
