More than 480 parents and friends of CMC students gathered on campus Feb. 16-18 for the annual Parents Weekend. This three-day event featured eight seminars given by CMC faculty and staff, an address from President Gann, a special student-parent dinner at the Athenaeum, and a Parents Club General Meeting. On Monday, parents were invited to attend classes with their students as well as to author Ann Crittenden’s lecture at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum, titled Are Mothers as Important as Warriors? “It was a great weekend for parents to get to know other parents, students, and their own student’s friends, and to learn more about the campus,” said co-chair Donna Dundas P’04. And despite those old myths about cafeteria dining — “the food at Collins is pretty good.” For additional information about CMC Parents Club, contact Sara Ely-Garske at extension 18221 or (909) 621-8221.
