Due to popular demand, the Athenaeum screenings of four important films of CMC Commencement speaker Sidney Poitier have been extended. Students will have a chance to view the films from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum through Thursday, May 16, in the Freeberg Lounge and the Parents' Library.
The films are Blackboard Jungle (1955), Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967), To Sir, With Love (1967), and Lilies of the Fields (1963) for which he won the Academy Award for best actor in a leading role.
CMC Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, in Badgley Garden.
