Rose Institute's Steve Frates '69 To Testify in Sacramento

Steve Frates '69, a Senior Fellow at the Rose Institute of State and Local Government at CMC, will testify before the State Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee's Subcommittee on State Administration, General Government, Judicial, and Transportation. The Feb. 24 Subcommittee hearing, chaired by State Sen. Joe Dunn (D-Garden Grove) will focus on Budget Implications of the Privatization of Public Pensions: Defined Benefit versus Defined Contribution.

An expert in local government financial analysis and the author of 20 major policy analyses, Frates received his Ph.D in public administration from the University of Southern California, and in 2004 was appointed by Gov. Schwarzenegger to serve on the California Performance Review Commission.
