Three CMS Winter Sports Teams Rank High in National Polls

Three CMS winter sports teams have been highly ranked in national polls over the past month, continuing their successes from last season.

On November 23, 2011, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced that CMS women's swimming is ranked eighth and men's swimming is ranked 14th (both best in the West) by their first dual meet poll of the 2011-2012 season. Full rankings are available at: Swimming World Magazine.

D3Hoops.com, a news website dedicated to Division III basketball, ranked CMS men's basketball 22nd in their Top 25 teams rankings for games ending the week of December 11, 2011. The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Full rankings are available at: D3Hoops.com

All three teams are also undefeated in SCIAC (Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) competition.

The Stags have earned four SCIAC titles in Men's Swimming and Diving, and the Athenas have earned eight consecutive titles. Last year the Athenas also produced the SCIAC Swimmer of the Year, CMC student Michelle Kee '14.

CMS Men's Basketball shared the SCIAC Regular Season Title with Redlands during the 2010-2011 season.
