Williams Professor Saul Kassin In "Psychology And Law" Series

Author Saul Kassin will discuss "Police Interrogations and Confessions: Does Innocence Put Innocents at Risk?" at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12. The lecture is free and open to the public, and seating is available on a first-come basis. The Athenaeum is located at 385 East Eighth Street, at the intersection of Eighth and Amherst Streets in Claremont.

Kassin is professor of psychology and chair of the legal studies program at Williams College. He has published widely in the areas of eyewitness identification, police interrogation, and the psychology of evidence and co-authored Confessions in the Courtroom and The American Jury on Trial: Psychological Perspectives. He has also served as a consultant and expert witness in state and federal courts.

Kassin is the third speaker in the Athenaeum series "Psychology and the Law."
