Gastón Espinosa is associate professor of American religions, politics, and society at Claremont McKenna College and The Claremont Graduate University.
He is a graduate of Princeton Seminary, Harvard University, and the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he earned his Ph.D. After graduate school, he attended the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, where he wrote a feature-length screenplay on religion and race relations during the Jim Crow period in American history.
