Fri, September 26 - David Mgrublian '82
David Mgrublian '82 is the CEO of IDS Real Estate, headquartered in Los Angeles. Mr. Mgrublian is also a member of the CMC Board of Trustees and will be the inaugural speaker in this series.

 

Thur, October 2 - "Financial Crisis" Panel Discussion
RDS Professors Gregory Hess, Marc Weidenmier, Tom Willett and Fan Yu, along with Philip Flynn '79 (Vice Chairman of Union Bank of California) and Alan Heuberger '96 (Analyst at Cascade Investment LLC) will reflect on the causes and consequences of the unraveling financial sector. The panel will be moderated by Prof. Brock Blomberg.

   

Fri, October 10 - Robert Beyer
Robert Beyer is the CEO of Trust Company of the West. In 2005, Mr. Beyer became TCW's second CEO since its founding in 1971. Mr. Beyer received his BS from the University of Southern California and his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

 

Fri, October 31 - James Quella P'08
James Quella is a Senior Managing Director and Senior Operating Partner in the Corporate Private Equity group at Blackstone. Mr. Quella is responsible for monitoring the strategy and operational performance of Blackstone portfolio companies and providing direct assistance in the oversight of large investments.

 

Fri, November 7 - Jeffrey Klein '75
Jeff Klein was Chief Executive Officer of 101communications LLC prior to its acquisition, and is now the non-Executive Chairman of the Board for 1105 Media Inc. Prior to 101, he held senior management positions with the Los Angeles Times and Times Mirror, following a career as a lawyer.
