David Mgrublian ’82 is the CEO of IDS Real Estate which is headquartered in Los Angeles. Mr. Mgrublian is also a member of the CMC Board of Trustees and will be the inaugural speaker in this series.

   

Henry Kravis '67 - Friday, October 3, 2008
Henry Kravis is a founding partner in the private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.  Mr. Kravis has been involved in the largest, most successful acquisitions in history including RJR Nabisco, First Data, TXU, Beatrice, Safeway, and Duracell, among others. His firm has completed more than 165 transactions with a total acquisition price of approximately $420 billion.
   

Robert Beyer - Friday, October 10, 2008
Robert Beyer is the CEO of Trust Company of the West. In 2005, Mr. Beyer became TCW's second CEO since its founding in 1971. Mr. Beyer received his BS from the University of Southern California and his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

 

James Quella P'08 - Friday, October 31, 2008
James Quella is a Senior Managing Director and Senior Operating Partner in the Corporate Private Equity group at Blackstone. Mr. Quella is responsible for monitoring the strategy and operational performance of Blackstone portfolio companies and providing direct assistance in the oversight of large investments.

 

Jeffrey Klein '75 - Friday, November 7, 2008
Jeff Klein was Chief Executive Officer of 101communications LLC prior to its acquisition, and is now the non-Executive Chairman of the Board for 1105 Media Inc. Prior to 101, he held senior management positions with the Los Angeles Times and Times Mirror, following a career as a lawyer.

Gregg Ireland ’72 - Friday, January 30, 2009
Gregg Ireland ’72 is a Senior Vice President of Capital World Investors, a division of Capital Research and Management Company (The Capital Group), the investment adviser for the American Funds.  With over $900 billion in assets under management, The American Funds is one of the three largest mutual fund managers in the world. Mr. Ireland has been with Capital for 36 years and is a Portfolio Counselor for several funds. He is a member of the FEI Board of Advisors and completed his MBA at Harvard Business School in 1979.

 

Fernando Fabre - Thursday, February 5, 2009
Fernando Fabre is the Managing Director of Endeavor Mexico and professor of Entrepreneurship at Anahuac University. He has been appointed by the Partnership for Prosperity Program in conjunction with the Mexican government to develop guidelines to build an entrepreneurial culture in Mexico.

 

Peter Kraus P’11 - Monday, March 2, 2009
Peter Krause P’11 is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AllianceBernstein, a firm he joined in December 2008. Previously, he was executive vice-president at Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s business strategy and investments, global growth plans and opportunities. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Kraus was co-head of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Management Division for 7½ years. In addition to his role as co-head of the Investment Management Division, Mr. Kraus was a member of the firm’s management committee as head of firm-wide strategy and chairman of the Strategy Committee.

   

Tom Linebarger ’86 - Monday, March 9, 2009
Tom Linebarger ’86 is the President and COO of Cummins Inc., a global power leader that designs, manufactures, distributes and services engines and related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems.  Mr. Linebarger received a BA in economics from CMC, a BS in engineering from Stanford, an MBA from Stanford, and an MS in engineering from Stanford.

   

Jonathan Rosenberg '83 - Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Jonathan Rosenberg ’83 is a Senior Vice President for Product Management and Marketing at Google. In this role, Mr. Rosenberg oversees the design, creation and improvement of all of Google’s products, from consumer offerings to publisher and business services.  Mr. Rosenberg holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree with honors in economics from Claremont McKenna College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
