"ANGEL INVESTORS- WHO ARE THEY AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?"

Angel Investors are an integral part of the funding life cycle of a start-up company. In most years Angels invest more money than Venture Capitalists. This talk will cover the following topics:

DuWayne Peterson is Chairman and one of the Founders of the Pasadena Angels. This group was started in the spring of 2000 and has invested $5 million in 19 companies. Their focus is on technology companies in the information technology and biotech areas.

DuWayne has over 40 years experience in the information technology business. He has been the Chief Information Officer for several major corporations including Merrill Lynch and Security Pacific Bank.

He is currently President of DuWayne Peterson Associates, a consulting company that helps firms in the effective management of information technology. His educational credentials include a BS from MIT and a MBA from UCLA. He is on the Board of Trustees of MIT and the Claremont Graduate University.
