Spring 2015

January: Professor Gilbert served as a panel member discussing the recent book Israel: A History by Anita Shapira, sponsored by the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies.

March: Professor Gilbert leads a visit to the Skirball Center and its superb collection of Judaica and Jewish Art.

June: Professor Espinosa will serve as the Co-director of conference "Protestantism on Screen: Religion, Politics and Aesthetics in European and American Movies," Wittenberg, Germany.

July: Professor Gilbert joins the Tel Akko Archaeology Program for its sixth season.

Fall 2014

Professor Espinosa published, Latino Pentecostals in America: Faith and Politics in Action (Harvard University Press, 2014) and William J. Seymour and the Origins of Global Pentecostalism: A Biography and Documentary History (Duke University Press, 2014).

November 2014: Professor Gilbert delivers a paper at the Annual Meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature, “Images of the Akedah in Ancient Synagogue Art.”

November 2014: Professor Espinosa delivers a paper at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Religion, "Trends, Diversity, and Developments in American Protestant Christianities."

August 2014: Professor Chung-Kim Presented a paper at the International Congress of Calvin Research, Zurich, Switzerland, "Poverty and Wealth: John Calvin's Religious Ideals and their Impact."

Spring 2014

March 2014: Professor Chung-Kim published, Critical Edition of the Reformation Commentary on Acts, co-edited with Todd Hains (IVP Academic Press, 2014).
