Housing: Four-week homestay in Belém and two shorter rural homestays.  Other accommodations include small hotels and boats.
Program Eligibility:  Preparation in environmental studies, ecology, or development studies is required.  A background in Portuguese, Spanish, or other Romance language is recommended.

Salvador de Bahia (SIT Health)

Type: Experiential field-based
Housing: Seven-week homestay in Salvador; other accommodations include 3-day homestay in Ilha de Maré, rural homestay with MST workers, hostels, privates homes and small hotels.
