International Place of The Claremont Colleges has put out the call for local homes to host incoming international students while they make necessary adjustments to living in a new country. International students will begin arriving Aug. 22 from home countries including Thailand, Micronesia, and Ghana.
"The world comes to Claremont in August," says I-Place director Charlene Martin. "The host families become the first friends for the international students, often remaining friends for a lifetime."
