CMC WORLDMEET 2026 - ATHENS, GREECE

JUNE 17-21, 2026

Join CMC alumni, students, parents, faculty, and College leadership for Worldmeet 2026 as we explore and experience the mythical city of Athens and learn about Greece’s politics, economy, history, culture and arts, and strategic role in the region, including its relations with the United States.

Advance hotel information: Because hotels in Athens are at a premium in the spring and summer, we recommend that you consider making hotel reservations now—even before registration for Worldmeet goes live—so that you are not disappointed later. Be sure to review and keep cancellation policies in mind to avoid unexpected fees or complications later.

We have secured a room block at the Herodion Hotel located in the Plaka neighborhood, in the center of town. We will start daily activities from this hotel. Reservations at the group rate are available here. (Consider booking now; if your plans change, the Herodion allows you to cancel before April 12, 2026 without a penalty.)

Alternative hotels nearby include, among others, Philippos Hotel, AthensWas Hotel, Divani Palace Acropolis, or Electra Palace Hotel. A bit further away are the Athens Capital Hotel and the Hotel Grande Bretagne. As advised above, be sure to review and keep cancellation policies in mind to avoid unexpected fees or complications later.

Mobility information: Due to the topographic layout and ancient characteristics of Athens, we will primarily be on foot, including navigating hilly terrain and smooth marble to the top of the Acropolis and exploring the rocky grounds of ancient Delphi. Moreover, many restaurants and other venues do not have elevators or accessible facilities.
