About the Inland Empire Economic Forecast

CMC Professor of Economics Manfred Keil leads the Inland Empire economic forecast research team at the Lowe Institute, providing data-driven analysis to business and government leaders throughout the region.

Professor Keil, Associate Director of the Lowe Institute, was recently appointed to the Council of Economic Advisors for the California State Controller's Office and serves as Chief Economist at the Inland Empire Economic Partnership. The Lowe Institute's forecast work also includes partnerships with the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and the UCLA Anderson Forecast. Manfred Keil has led the Lowe Institute's student research team since 2009.

In addition to the Lowe Institute's annual Inland Empire State of the Region report, Professor Keil and his team publish reports throughout the year examining economic conditions and trends across the Inland Empire, Southern California, and California. This work includes annual reports prepared for the Executive Committee of Riverside County and the City of Indian Wells.

The annual State of the Region report examines national, state, and regional trends, including:
