Resident Assistants

Hi y'all! I can't wait to be one of the RAs of Marks this year and meet so many of you! I'm originally from a small mountain town in Virginia, but I've lived in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East as well. I'm majoring in neuroscience and I love anything and everything related to Complementary and Integrative Health. In my free time, you'll find me walking any dog I can find, hiking, eating chocolate, or doing sunrise cold plunges. Really anything that involves being outside and I'm there! On campus, I swim for CMS and I'm involved in the Prison Education Project, the Silly Side of Grief, and the Neurobiology of Ingestive Behavior Lab. My door is always open, and if I'm not there I'm probably at DOS, so come hang out!

Holaaa! My name is Vivi, and I am so excited to be one of the RAs at crown!! I am from Monterrey, Mexico and at CMC I study Environment, Economics and Politics. On campus I am involved with the Prison Education Project, and worked at the DOS front desk, so you can often find me there doing something fun! I love going on walks, the spin bike and yoga, I also really like crafting and I am a huuugee foodie!! If you ever need someone to go on a walk with, try a new food or workout, or just talk and hang out, I am here for you!! So excited to meet you, all love! 

Hi everyone! My name is Catalina, and I’m SO excited to be one of the RAs for the CMC Apartments this year! I’m from Miami and majoring in Philosophy and Government.  In my free time, you’ll probably find me at the Hub with a matcha latte in hand or getting work done at Poppa. I love playing games (especially soccer or anything competitive), solving the NYT Wordle, going on long walks, thrifting, and listening to music. Whether you want to grab coffee at the Hub or Motley, go for a walk around the 5Cs, watch some musicals, or just need someone to talk to, I’m always happy to hang out. I’m looking forward to a great year with such an awesome class!

Hey everyone! My name is Jordan Yates, and I am so excited to be the Appleby RA this year! Here is a little bit about me: I am from Los Angeles, California, so I am a HUGE LA sports fan (Lakers, Dodgers, LAFC, Kings). On campus, I am on the CMS Varsity Women's Soccer team, I am the president of a 5c A Cappella group, Midnight Echo, and I have a few jobs on campus, working as a tour guide in the Admissions Office and for CMS Athletics, most recently working for CMS Communications and Broadcasting for soccer and basketball. I love going to concerts, making new friends, and I am a huge foodie. I am super excited to make Appleby feel like home and to continue building and developing the CMC community! My door will always be open to chat! I can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi everyone, I’m Mason and I’m super excited to be one of your RA’s in the CMC Apartments this year! I’m an Economics and International Relations Major and I’m from Portsmouth, Rhode Island. In my free time I love to be hanging outside with friends, playing pick-up basketball, golfing, cooking, and occasionally I’ll pick up a book! Also, on campus, I am a part of the Men’s Lacrosse Club, the Student Investment Fund, and I work at the Soll Center. If you ever need to chat or just want to hang out and watch sports or something my door is always open. I am excited to continue growing with you all and I can’t wait for a great year!

Hey everyone, my name is Praise, and I'm so excited to be the RA of Valach. I am from Amityville, New York, and I am a government major planning to pursue a career in law. In my free time, I love sleeping and spending time with friends, but I also love cooking Nigerian food for fun. I am a part of the Black Women's Collective and Pre-Law Society here on campus. I love having random casual conversations and just laughing in general. I hope to make the experience of living on campus one filled with laughter and joy. I am excited in meeting and getting to know you all.

Here’s a little bit about me: I’m originally from Seattle, WA, where I grew up skiing, hiking with my dog, and hanging outside in the PNW. On campus, I’m majoring in government and environmental economics and work at the REC and as a Romero Success Coach. When I’m not in class, you’ll probably find me biking, reading outside, trying to learn to skateboard, or planning an adventure. One of the best things about CMC is the community, and I’m excited to make the apartments feel like home. My door is always open, whether that's to play cards, cook a new food, watch a movie, or just say hi! Please please stop by, and I can’t wait to get to know you all more next year!

Hey guys! My name is Talin Tyvand and I am so excited to be one of the Berger RAs! Here is a bit about me: I’m originally from Oregon, but I grew up internationally (China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, and South Korea). Here, I’m majoring in PPE and Film Studies. On campus I am also a part of SOURCE, KLI, and work at the mailroom. On a different note, I LOVE running, camping, traveling, thrifting, and anything that involves going on side quests with others. One of my favorite things about CMC has been the people I have met in this crazy journey of college. Home has always been about the community for me, and I can confidently say that I have found a home here! My door is always open and snacks will be stocked, so come say hi!

Hi everyone, my name is Charlotte and I am one of the RAs for Auen! I’m a History and Math major with a Human Rights Studies sequence from Whittier, CA. On campus, I’m a QCL Head Mentor, on the e-board for a bunch of nerdy math clubs (I’m happy to answer any math questions!), and a TA/liaison for the History Department! Outside school, I love to read all kinds of books and comic books and I’m always down to queen out about book recs and reviews! I also love watching movies, learning all kinds of crafts, and visiting art museums/ galleries all over SoCal.

Hey everyone! I’m Isabela Cabrera, and I’m super excited to be one of the Beckett RAs! I am an Economics and Public Policy Dual Major from Riverside, IL. Around campus, you can definitely find me in Heggblade - I’m a Romero Success Coach and Care Fellow. You can also catch me talking to anyone passing by; I love meeting new people! I’m also involved in Amor y Apoyo and try to stay up to date on affinity group events, so let me know if you’re looking to get involved or attend something together. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, going to the Scripps gym (sorry Roberts), listening to a good podcast, trying a new café or restaurant, or watching a TV show (I’m into reality TV right now). Hi everyone! My name is Avi and I am super excited to be your RA of Benson this year! I grew up in the Bay Area (but I lived in Chicago and Cleveland briefly) and I am majoring in Economics and Data Science. While not in my room you can find me at the Hub 'trying' to do work, at the gym working out, or at Marks Basement jamming out with my friends! At CMC I am a Community Tutor at the Soll Center, a research assistant at the RDSC, director of the athenaeum podcast, and a member of the Chamber Choir - I love music! In my free time I am big on boxing, hiking, and Monopoly Deal. Not to brag, but I am pretty good at Smash Bros, so if you're looking for a fight swing by!
